For several years now, armed conflicts of indescribable proportions have been raging in Sudan. International aid organisations are at their wits\u2019 end in the face of the mass suffering. All attempts to end the killing have so far failed. Clearly, there is much to be gained for the masterminds and profiteers of the war.<\/p>

To euphemistically refer to this conflict in Sudan \u2013 which the UN has described as \u2018the greatest humanitarian catastrophe since the Second World War\u2019 \u2013 as a \u2018civil war\u2019 is a particularly deceitful euphemism. For the mass slaughter that has been raging in this African country since 2023 \u2013 with tens of thousands dead, hundreds of thousands starving and millions displaced \u2013 is a particularly cruel example of boundless greed for power and profit, of racism of the worst kind, and of unprecedented ignorance on the part of the world\u2019s rich nations. Yet the war did not descend upon the north-east of the African continent like a sudden natural disaster; rather, it has a long history, extensively documented by historians. The author of this text even associates the start of his journalistic career with it.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
